Good stuff all around, as far as it goes! (So when will you post some sequentials?)

I understand.  I tell myself I want to do them, but still I don't. Have to wonder what that's about.  Partly it's about doing what I really like and partly it's about getting used to a different mental state.  It's a different kind of mental activity compared to doing a single composition - or, more like a different conglomeration of mental states that one weaves his way through compared to simply getting in the zone and drawing or inking.

you're absolutely right. that's why so few artists can actually do page work. what would help, if you ever had the desire to do that type of work. let's say for personal reasons, not professional. get a script , and commit. with a strong , self imposed deadline. it's the only way it can work. any other way that's casual, let's one back out when it's most convenience.

maybe one day, i'll follow my own advice :)

I set out to do that a few different ways.  First with my own script, then by teaming up with a writer who would do the script.  The problem with my own was that I kept re-writing it.  The problem with the other was that other people wouldn't commit to the writing.

I think the fantasy is to elevate oneself to the next level by hooking up with someone who is already there.  In some cases that works.  That's how I got a toehold on coloring in photoshop.  I couldn't have done it on my own.  But I think for something like sequential art, your way is the way to do it.  It's entirely within the range of my capabilities, so it's mainly a matter of commitment and humility.  The humility comes in after the fact in accepting the crude results of one's first efforts.

Maybe I'll make that the goal for the summer?  It would be quite the accomplishment.  Hmmm.  You may have fanned the dying embers.
